Simply put...

Our negative thoughts and beliefs often hold us back from becoming who we can be-- in essence reaching our Peak.  As I interpret Ford's words, our interpretation of our ability is our fuel for rising as high as we can or our anchors for holding us down.  However the entrenched beliefs that we all hold are sometimes deeply embedded in our subconscious minds. Through hypnosis, in conjunction with the person's desire to have real change, a person may need to adjust his/her thought process so as to enjoy the power of his/her Peak self.
Hypnosis can help a person eliminate negative thoughts (old programming) and to re imagine the reality the person has deeply embedded by accessing the subconscious mind. 

So, What is Hypnosis?

As the hypnotist, I use relaxation to gently usher you into a wonderful state of extreme comfort.  When you have reached this point, through direct suggestion and imagery, I can  help you to re-write the negative scripts that are running in your subconscious mind.  These scripts hold you back and can act as blinders to you seeing and achieving your goals.  Most people who experience hypnosis report that they feel thoroughly relaxed and even rejuvenated after our sessions.

What Hypnosis Is NOT--

True hypnosis is NOT what you see on TV nor in the movies. It is rarely jarring and/or used to control people's minds.  A skilled hypnotist will work with you to achieve YOUR goals.  For more on the myths of hypnosis,please see my section on "Myths".

Traditional Therapy versus Hypnosis

Traditional therapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can be very effective.  The down side is that most therapies like that can take quiet a few sessions before the person begins to see results.  Because hypnosis is not really "therapy", the person is able to make real, lasting change much quicker (as quick as a single session!).
